YPF Trust’s training and capacity-building programmes equip teachers, practitioners and leaders with the knowledge, skills and networks they need to respond to emerging needs and strengthen practice.
Our programmes are closely linked to the Quality Mark for Supplementary Education, creating a clear pathway from reflection and development to high-quality provision.
Our Programmes
Creative Network of Practitioners (Train the Trainer)
A professional learning network that brings supplementary education practitioners together to develop creative, engaging and reflective approaches to teaching. The programme uses a train-the-trainer approach, enabling practitioners to share learning and strengthen practice within their settings.
Through specialist input, collaboration and peer learning, practitioners explore new ideas and translate them into stronger teaching and learning practice within their settings.
Human Rights Education
Supporting practitioners to embed human rights and children’s rights into everyday teaching and organisational culture.
The programme strengthens understanding of children and young people’s voice, participation, dignity and belonging, enabling settings to create learning environments in which children are active contributors.
Women Leading Change
A leadership programme designed to strengthen the confidence, skills and networks of women leading within supplementary education.
It creates space for reflection, connection and professional growth, supporting women to lead change within their organisations and across their communities.
SEND & Inclusive Practice
Developing practitioners’ confidence and capability to recognise and respond to diverse learning needs.
The programme strengthens inclusive practice so that children and young people are better supported to participate, progress and thrive.
Solid Foundations Training
Solid Foundations is the first stage of the YPF Trust Quality Mark journey, helping settings put in place the management, governance, safeguarding arrangements, policies and procedures needed for safe and effective provision.
The programme supports settings to strengthen these foundations and align their practice with Department for Education safeguarding guidance and good practice.
Connected to our Quality Mark
The Quality Mark for Supplementary Education provides a developmental framework for settings to recognise their strengths, identify priorities and demonstrate high-quality practice across the learning environment, teaching and learning, children’s participation and rights, staffing, and leadership and management.
Our training and capacity-building programmes provide practical opportunities for teachers, practitioners and leaders to develop across these areas through specialist expertise, peer learning and professional networks.
Together, the Quality Mark Award and our development programmes support a journey of continuous improvement while contributing to a more confident, connected and recognised supplementary education sector.
